Havening with Lisa

At Bay Functional Health, healing is approached through both the body and the nervous system, because many long-standing symptoms can be influenced not only by nutrition, hormones, gut health, and lifestyle, but also by unresolved stress and trauma stored within the body.

Trauma is not always about a single major event. Trauma can occur when experiences feel overwhelming, unsafe, emotionally painful, or inescapable for the nervous system at the time. Even years later, the body can continue responding as though the stress is still happening. This may contribute to anxiety, hypervigilance, poor sleep, digestive issues, chronic tension, fatigue, emotional overwhelm, and difficulty fully relaxing or feeling “safe” in the body.

What is Havening Techniques®

Havening Techniques® is a gentle, researched, neuroscience-based psychosensory approach designed to help reduce the emotional and physiological impact of stressful or traumatic memories. Using soothing touch combined with specific therapeutic processes, Havening aims to help calm the nervous system and create new neural pathways around distressing experiences.

Many people describe feeling lighter, calmer, more emotionally regulated, and less “triggered” following sessions.

The Havening Techniques® combines principles from neuroscience, neuroplasticity, and mind-body medicine to support emotional healing in a safe and compassionate way.

Lisa is currently undertaking professional Havening certification training under Robin Youngson and is offering a limited number of complimentary Havening sessions as part of the certification process and supervised case study requirements.
